PRINCE “Partyup”, On Saturday Night Live in 1981
From the infamous Charlene-Tilton-hosted episode where Charles Rocket said “Fuck” live on the air, here’s PRINCE with a lively version of “Partyup”. Prince only did one number on this episode as the musical-guest slot was split between him and Todd Rundgren. An episode made for me? Almost. Replace Charlene Tilton with Cherie Currie, and we’d have my dream episode of SNL.
